GENERAL PURPOSE TUBES

The general purpose tubes and hoses are used for the general purposes which do not require high range of purity of the compound. These are mostly used in many domestic appliances and in the workshops or hobby applications because of their excellent flexibility.

MEDICAL/FOOD GRADE TUBES

These are specially designed hoses and tubes which are made in a manner so that they do not react with any medical or food material. They are sterilized in standard autoclaves in order to make them fit for the application in which they come in close contact with the food ingredients, body tissues and fluids or sensitive drugs. In this particular type of tubing the manufactured silicone tubes and hoses are completely tasteless, odorless, and non-toxic with a special property which does not support bacterial growth.

The high pressure tubes and hoses are made by strengthening their composition with wire or polyester braids which combats expansion and flattening. These tubes are mostly used when then the tubes are in direct contact with pressurized gases or suction is conducted. However, sharp edged clamps and fitting should be avoided near the tubes as they have low tensile strength and resistance to steam which may cause excessive wear and tear.

FEP Encapsulated Oring

Dataseal India offers PTFE TEFLON FEP / PFA Encapsulated 'O'-Ring which is an 'O'-Ring bound by a seamless and consistent FEP/PFA encapsulation, which bound an elastomeric core, entirely protecting it from the media. Encapsulation Options

FEP Encapsulation

PFA Encapsulation
Similar properties as FEP encapsulation but with higher heat resistance for applications above 205°C. Also resistant to virtually all chemicals and joined seamlessly via advanced heat moulding process.

Different Inner Core / Profile Options

Silicone Inner Core
Generally best material option combined with lower Shore Hardness and greater elasticity than FKM (Viton) rubber, providing an excellent material choice for the majority of applications.
FKM (Viton) Inner Core
Higher chemical resistance than Silicone. If encapsulation is damaged, FKM (Viton) rubber provides higher resilience to chemical attack.
Silicone Hollow Inner Core
Excellent compressibility than solid Silicone core, with a hardness similar to a standard elastomeric 'O'-Ring. The hollow core flexibility means less clamping force is required to enable its sealing abilities. Ideal for fragile applications using sensitive materials, such as glass or light plastics.Normally useful in application where the sealing area may require room for movement during operation.
Silicone/FKM (Viton) Square/Rectangular Core
Designed to be a gasket seal, as opposed to an 'O'-Ring. In particular, the rectangular cross-section is designed to be a universal fit, non-contaminating hose coupling seal. It eliminates the need to specify different elastomers for different applications and stops coupling leakage due to chemical attack or creep of a solid PTFE gasket seal.
