Ptfe OR Teflon Bushes
PTFE or PolyTetraFluoroEthylene is a thermoplastic polymer that is used in the manufacture of various components that are of great demand in the polymer and other industries.
The PFTE compound is produced by free radical polymerization of tetrafluoroethylene. Because tetrafluoroethylene can explosively decompose to tetrafluoromethane and carbon, special apparatus is used for polymerization to prevent the hot spots that might cause dangerous side reactions. The process is initiated with the help of persulfate, which in turn homolyzes to generate sulfate radicals and the resulting polymer is terminated with sulfur ester groups. This is then hydrolyzed to give OH-end groups.
Since PTFE is insoluble in all chemical compounds, the polymerization is conducted using water emulsion. This compound is then used for the manufacture of PTFE bushes using advanced cutting edge technology, high-grade chemicals and components and modern day tools.
